Selling tickets and collecting payment

Set up paid tiers, accept card or manual payments, and track who's actually paid.

Set up ticket tiers

Turn on Ticketing from your event's edit page, then go to your event → Tickets to add tiers: “Early bird”, “Regular”, “VIP”, each with its own price and a maximum quantity. A tier can also be a party ticket: set it to cover more than one person and one purchase reserves several seats at once, with each additional attendee joining separately through a shareable link once the lead buyer has paid.

Choose how attendees pay

From Tickets → Payment, turn on whichever methods make sense for your event. You can offer more than one at the same time and let the attendee choose at checkout.

  • Card, via Stripe: the attendee pays online and their ticket is marked paid automatically the moment the payment goes through, no manual confirmation needed on your end.
  • DuitNow / PayNow QR: upload your QR code and a short note; the attendee scans it, transfers directly, and uploads a screenshot as proof.
  • Manual (cash / bank transfer): add your own instructions (a bank account, a meetup point for cash), and the attendee uploads proof of payment the same way.

Tip

For DuitNow/PayNow and manual payments, nothing is confirmed automatically: you review the uploaded proof and mark the ticket paid yourself from the attendee list. That's deliberate: it gives you a checkpoint before treating a spot as secured.

Promo codes

  1. 1

    Create a code

From Tickets → Promo codes, set a code, and whether it's a percentage off or a fixed amount off.

  2. 2

Limit it if you need to

Codes can have a maximum number of redemptions and an expiry date, useful for a limited early-bird discount or a code shared with one partner organization.

  3. 3

    Attendees apply it themselves

The code field appears on the ticket selection step of registration; attendees enter it and see the discounted price before paying.

Tracking who's actually paid

The attendee list shows payment status per registration (unpaid, paid, waived, or refunded), and you can filter to see who still owes money. Every status change is timestamped, along with who marked it, so there's a clear record if a payment is ever disputed later.

Before you start

Changing a ticket tier after someone has already started paying for a different one is checked server-side against what was actually charged; switching tiers doesn't let a completed cheap-tier payment get credited toward an expensive one.
